POKE CAKE WITH BANANA PUDDING!

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix (such as Duncan Hines®)
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant banana pudding mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
  • 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs (such as Nilla®), or to taste

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). A 913-inch baking dish should be greased and floured.
Step 2In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth; pour into the prepared baking dish.
Step 3Bake in the preheated oven for 23 to 28 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Step 4In a mixing basin, whisk together cold milk and pudding mix until pudding is soft and thickened, about 2 minutes.
Step 5Using the handle of a clean wooden spoon, poke holes in the cake. Pour the pudding over the cake and smooth it out evenly. Spread whipped topping on top of the pudding layer and top with vanilla wafers.
