An easy way to feed a lot of people, whether they’re teenagers or sports fans or just fans of the chili cheese coney is to make a chili cheese dog bake (also known as the chili cheese coney).
To make these chili cheese dogs, crescent dough is used to wrap them instead of a hot dog bun. This makes the dough flaky and buttery. All ages love this simple meal idea. It’s good for both kids and adults.
There is more chili that has been heated through and topped with cheese. Also, chopped green onions, diced red onions, or pickled jalapenos are great toppings.
This simple supper dish is ready in just 45 minutes, making it a good choice for a big midweek meal that doesn’t take long to make. You’ll need these things to make this dish:
INGREDIENTS LIST:
- A 14-ounces of chili, heated.
- A can.Of « Pillsbury » refrigerated pizza crust.
- 4 sticks.Of Cheddar cheese
- 4 all-beef hot dogs.
- 1 Tbsp.Of softened butter at room temperature.
- 1/4 Tsp.Of garlic powder.
- 1/4 Tsp.Of parsley flakes.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Start by setting the temperature of your oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, you can start making the food. It’s time to get the baking dish ready. Spray it with cooking spray. It should be 9 inches by 9 inches or 11 inches by 11 inches. Pour the hot chili on the dish and spread it out with a spoon.
Step 2: Take the dough out of the roll and cut it into four strips. Cheese sticks should be put on both sides of a hot dog. Wrap a piece of pizza dough around the cheese and hot dog, overlapping the edges in the middle.
There are still dough strips and cheese sticks and hot dogs left. Keep making them until they’re all gone. Place the hot dogs in their wrappers on top of the chili that is already hot.
This is the fourth step. Bake the dough for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and has risen a little.
It’s time for Step 5. Then, in a small microwave-safe cup, microwave the softened butter until it is smooth. Add the garlic powder and parsley and mix them together well to get a good mix.
Butter and flour are mixed together and spread on each cheese dog. Then, put the baking dish back in the oven for more than 3 minutes. Serve the cheese dogs right away.
NOTES:
You can add more flavor and a beautiful shine to dough by drizzling buttery garlic sauce on it while it’s baking. Before or after baking the bread, add the butter sauce. If you don’t want to use it, you can just leave it out. Grate the cheese and add it after the crescent rolls have browned. Keep cooking until the cheese is soft.
This way, you can see whether or not the sides of the crescent rolls have turned brown. Bake the bottoms of the rolls for a little longer than the tops of the chili. There are some crescents that are browning quickly on top and you need more time for them to cook on the bottom. You can lay aluminum foil on top of your dish.
