The trick to defrosting the freezer in the shortest possible time: Everything solved in no time

Not everyone knows it, but defrosting the freezer is very important because a lot of ice can form in the drawers. If you do not clean and defrost the freezer from time to time, you risk ice forming and the freezer no longer functioning as usual. Therefore, the refrigerator uses more energy to maintain the temperature you set (also find out how to limit consumption), and as ice accumulates, among other things, there is less and less space in the freezer. In addition, by defrosting it you can free it from dirt and food particles that can cause bad smells. This is why proper maintenance of your freezer is always very important.

If you don’t have time and you really care about cleaning the freezer, you just need to use a few simple tricks. First, empty the food from the freezer. Remember that food can defrost. I therefore recommend that you store them in a thermal bag that keeps them at temperature or, better, consume the food in the freezer in the days before cleaning.

Once everything is emptied, you have several methods available. For safety reasons, turn off the freezer and unplug it. Now all you have to do is select the shape you want to use. For example, you can fill some cooking pots with boiling water and leave them in the freezer for a few minutes. The heat and steam accelerate the melting of the ice, making your work easier. Remember to put some old rags under the freezer to catch any dripping water. Once the ice is soft, you can remove it with a special plastic scraper and easily remove entire blocks. Use a special tool to remove ice from the walls, otherwise there is a risk of the walls being scratched or broken and destroyed.

Another trick is to moisten a cloth with boiling water and wipe it over the walls of the freezer. But be careful not to burn yourself, so it’s best to wear gloves. Here too, a few seconds are enough to melt the ice a little. Scrape the ice with the appropriate plastic scraper and you will see it come off in no time.
How to clean the freezer

Once you have removed all of the ice, make a mixture of vinegar and Marseille soap. Stir a cloth and moisten it with the solution. Wring out the cloth and thoroughly clean the entire freezer. Also take out the drawers and wash them with the same mixture. Then rinse and dry with a clean cloth. At this point you can also discover the mixture for cleaning the refrigerator.

All you have to do is replace the drawers, plug in the power plug and turn the freezer back on. Before inserting the plug, please make sure that it is not wet. Also dry the floor well. Finally, put the products back in the freezer and you’re done!
